Internet not working even though the wi-fi setting shows that it is connected to your network

 If your internet is not working even though the wi-fi shows it is connected to the internet try the following

As administrator start the cmd prompt and run the following commands

netsh wlan show profile
netsh wlan show interfaces
netsh wlan connect ssid=YOUR-WIFI-SSID name=PROFILE-NAME
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
netsh int ip reset --COMMMENT restart the PC after running this command
netsh winsock reset catalog --COMMMENT restart the PC after running this command

Now try browsing any site. You should be able to connect.
